Ginga Qualify for USYSA Nationals
The PDA GingaU17G has qualified for the USYSA National Championship after winning two matches and drawing one in National League play in Las Vegas this past weekend.
In the opening match, Brittany Cooper, Karli Sottung and Jessica Goldman scored in a 3-0 victory over FC Alliance (TN). Lexi Chang scored a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw with Pride Predators (CO) while Cooper scored the game winner in the 81st minute with a brilliant assist from Jessica Moskal in a 1-0 win against Beadling (PA). Ginga finished with a 3-1-3 record in the National League and now looks ahead to Nationals in Overland Park, Kansas this summer, July 22-28.
“First, I want to thank PDA Slammers, PDA Clash and PDA Arsenal who have all helped us get ready for the National League,” said head coach, Glenn Crooks. “One of the benefits of PDA is to have some of the top teams in the country, all within the club, that you can scrimmage against in preparation of major events.”
“I have enjoyed my experience with Ginga,” Crooks continued. They always come ready to train and have really come together as a team. I am very proud of their accomplishment and look forward to see how much we can continue to improve in preparation of State Cup, Region 1 and Nationals.”
