The Players Development Academy Girls and Toms River FC to form a strategic partnership for Player Development in Toms River and along the Jersey Shore to form PDA Shore
It is with great pride and excitement that PDA and the Toms River Football Club announce the strategic partnership of two of the top soccer programs in New Jersey. TRFC becomes the first affiliate member with the PDA and will look to draw the top players from TRFC and the Jersey Shore. “PDA is very excited about all the possibilities with TRFC”, said Mike O’Neill the Girls Director of Coaching at PDA. "We are one of the top youth clubs in the country with a great history of player development. Forming an affiliation with TRFC was an opportunity to extend the PDA family to an area with a large pool of players while working with great people. The affiliation is very important to PDA and I look forward to working side by side with TRFC.”
Through the affiliation, PDA and TRFC will be working together to provide a foundation of quality and experienced coaches that will allow top players the opportunity to develop and compete at the highest level. PDA and TRFC have experienced leadership and a proven track record for player development.
“We have been approached many times about forming affiliations with soccer clubs,” said Tom Anderson the President and Founder of PDA, “With TRFC we know they share the same philosophy for player development. This is our first affiliation and both sides have spent the last 6 months working together to ensure success both on and off the field”.
PDA will hire a Director of Coaching who will oversee a coaching staff that will implement PDA’s model for player development. Players from Toms River and all along the Jersey Shore will have the opportunity to train and compete in a high level environment. "We are extremely excited to join the PDA family, "said Carl Leschinski the Elite Director at TRFC.” This is truly a great opportunity for players in the Ocean & Southern Monmouth County area to play locally in the PDA system. The Jersey Shore consistently produces top players. This partnership will allow these players access to one of the best coaching/training platforms in the nation while staying in the Ocean County area.”
Toms River FC was introduced three years ago. It was a successful merger between the two largest soccer clubs in Toms River to create one of the largest soccer clubs in New Jersey. Toms River FC currently services and helps develop approximately 1800 children. Lou Santa Cruz, Director of Education and Licensing for Toms River FC stated, “We are extremely excited about the affiliation and looking forward to working side by side with PDA towards the continued development of youth soccer along the Jersey Shore.”
All teams will train and compete in Toms River, NJ.
